Yeah the Truth Is,

I've missed you all out there in blog-dom. I haven't been reading. Probably healthy to have taken such an extreme break. Now, as I creep back in to my blog stalking status, I can be a bit more balanced as to how much time I devote to it. *That is the most awesome get-up for a dining area by the way.

I have craft nights, a baby shower, and some other pending projects that I told people I would help them with and have yet to really devote the necessary focus to. So, I need you, you spectacular design blogs! And while we're at it I need better internet too...

Although... blogging can be somewhat trickey...I am tempted to spend money on these now. Thanks, E! ha!

California: Trinidad Bay

This is a small town in between Redding and Trinidad. Too cute. They have a banner that says "book sale"!?!?! I stopped to get some ice cream from a little shop there. I want to say that this drive was just incredible. I went over mountains and through valleys and next to streams and then... I saw the coast and it took my breath away.
*Breath officially taken away.
I walked this trail that wrapped around a mini-mountain. The sound of sea lions filled the air but I couldn't see them from way up there. I kept praying "PLEASE GOD. PLEASE! I NEEEEEEED TO SEE THEM! He didn't magically give my camera more zoom or my eyes better sight, but I know they were out there ;)
I sat at the top of the trail for a long time, despite the 50 degree weather and intense wind gusts.
The sunlight through the clouds was amazing. It kept dancing over the water.
The B&B I stayed at boasted "the biggest succulent in Trinidad"....TOTALLY my kind of place!!

More pics to come. xo.

Ethereal.

I didn't tell you {blog} that I was going on a trip...
But I am on one right now.
And there is only one word to describe it. Ethereal.

That word is making my friends and I laugh because we have overused it at this point and applied it to things that aren't quite "ethereal," but the things I have seen here on the other side of the country are just amazing. Breathtakingly, overwhelmingly, beautiful.

If you don't feel close to your Creator I suggest you come out to California. It'll fix that right up.

More pics to come after my return*

xoxo

Cricket?

Rebecca and Eva came over this week to do a craft with me (which shall remain a secret until it can be revealed ;) It is a gift.
This sucker was plopped on top of my dining room table and I must say, I was amazed that scrapbooking/paper crafting has come this far. That is more complex than the fax machines we have at work- and more impressive.  Is it spelled "cricut"? Because I am going to just call it a cricket...
Keep in touch. I'll show the finished results soon...

Mad About Monday.

Above is quite possibly the most beautiful bathroom I think I have EVER seen. There is a garden stool in the shower my friends. A garden stool.

Please go to Southern Exposure to check out her latest masterpiece of a room (and scroll through her archives for more!)...she is brilliant! I know you'll enjoy.
